JW Tapley

JW Tapley, 75, of Notasulga, died Saturday, August 5, 2017, at his home.  Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at Salem Macon Baptist Church at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Bobby Ned Duck officiating.  Burial will follow in Notasulga Memory Gardens.  Visitation will be Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at Corbitt's Funeral Home in Tuskegee from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.  Mr. Tapley is survived by his wife of 54 years Janette Tapley; his children Beth (Joe) Waldrep of Jackson's Gap, Lynn (Rachelle) Tapley of Beauregard, and Matt (Brittany) Tapley of Reeltown; 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; his sister Laverne Hartley of Dadeville; and his brother Lamar (Francis) Tapley of Dadeville.  He was preceded in death by his son Kevin Tapley and his granddaughter Destiny Tapley.  Mr. Tapley served in Law Enforcement for 34 years and was Chief of Police in Notasulga.  He also served 8 years in the Army National Guard.
