William Thomas Scott

William Thomas Scott, 74, of Opelika, died Monday, December 31, 2018, at Oak Park Nursing Home in Auburn.  Funeral services will be Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Liberty Baptist Church in Opelika at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Frank Chappell officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church beginning at 10:00 A.M.  Graveside services will follow in Bullard Cemetery in Eclectic at 2:30 P.M.  Mr. Scott is survived by his wife Sara Scott of Opelika; his children Penni Scott, Denise Scott (Johnny) Newman, and Sonny Leon (Kim) Scott; his grandchildren Ali Goff-Scott, Skyler Goff-Scott, Harley Newman, Callie Newman, Jonathon Scott, and Jarrod Scott; and his brother Wayne (Martha) Scott.  He was preceded in death by his parents Penn and Beatrice Scott, his brother Penn Scott, III, and his sister Sylvia Scott Lawrence.
