William Letcher Hood

William Letcher “Bill” Hood, 71, of Auburn, died Sunday, October 22, 2023, at Bethany House. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Airview Baptist Church at 4:00 P.M. Visitation will begin at 3:00 P.M. prior to the service. Mr. Hood is survived by his son Brian Hood; his nephew Chris Wilson; his niece Robin Thrift; his great niece Brittani Thrift; and many cousins; his brother from another mother James Lewis “Hammer” Jarrell; very good friends Art Owley, David Crowley, Donna Cummins, Patty Jarrell, and his church family and friends at Airview Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Evelyn Hood, daughter Jennifer Hood, and sister Wanda Hood Wilson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Lottie Moon Christmas Fund at Airview Baptist Church.
