Wade Gachet Farris

Wade Gachet Farris, 90, of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2019.  The son of Shelly and Rochelle Thornton Farris, he was born on October 6, 1928, in Geneva County, Alabama.  He is survived by his devoted wife of 72 years Annice Mozelle Murdock Farris; his sons Dale (Gail) Farris and Wayne (Tricia) Farris; his grandchildren Justin (Siggi), Emily (Loren), and Nathan (Lauren); and five great grandchildren.  He was a graduate of the University of Alabama and a military veteran serving in both the United States Navy and Air Force with tours of duty in South Korea and Japan.  He was the long-time owner of Farris Auto Sales in Tuskegee, Alabama, and previously owned businesses in Montgomery and Mobile.  He was a member of the Rotary Club of Tuskegee and an avid fisherman.  Graveside services will be held Monday, January 14, 2019, at 2:00 P.M. at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, Alabama, with Dr. Gary Blair officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ridgecrest Baptist Church or Amedisys Hospice.
