Mrs. Virginia Tyson, 93, of Little Texas, wife of the late Robert Thomas Tyson, died Sunday, January 12, 2020, at Arbor Springs in Opelika. Funeral services were Monday, January 13, 2020, at the Little Texas Tabernacle at 2:00 P.M. Burial followed in Little Texas Cemetery. She was born in Bullock County to James Lewis Wilson and Amy Gray Hubbard on April 27, 1926. She was one of 13 children. She and her husband married on June 20, 1942. She had five children, and she is survived by three of her children James Thomas Tyson, Robert Carroll (Janice) Tyson, Sr., and her only daughter Cindy Tyson Glass; her sister Polly Pritchett of Opelika; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She was an exceptional woman and always had a way of making anyone she met feel welcome. She was especially known for her flowers and her gardening skills with her husband Robert T. Tyson. "She is with the Lord now, where we all long to be."
