Timothy Russell “Rusty” Yeomans

Timothy Russell “Rusty” Yeomans, 59, a native of Midland City, AL, passed away in Auburn, AL, on April 1, 2022, following an extended illness. 

Rusty earned a degree in agricultural education from Auburn University in 1991 and spent his career as a beloved agriscience teacher and FFA advisor at Goshen (Ala.) High School and Cottonwood (Ala.) High School. 

Rusty was preceded in death by his parents Gloria Jean Outlaw Yeomans and Thomas Jefferson Yeomans. He is survived by his sister Tina Yeomans, of Opelika, AL, who lovingly cared for him throughout his illness; brother and sister-in-law Reggie and Brandie Yeomans and niece Jordan Yeomans, all of Midland City. 

A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday, April 10, 2022, at Goshen Town Hall (235 Montgomery Street). The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m., followed by the service at 2 p.m. CT. 

In honor of his love of agriscience and FFA, the family requests memorials be made to the Goshen High School FFA (286 Eagle Circle, Goshen, AL 36035) or the Cottonwood High School FFA (663 Houston St., Cottonwood, AL 36320).
