Thomas Jefferson Hill, Jr. ("Junior"), 79, of the Little Texas community, died Thursday, January 20, 2022, at East Alabama Medical Center. He was born October 26, 1942, in Notasulga, Alabama to his parents Thomas Jefferson Hill, Sr. and Essie Miller Hill. After graduating from Notasulga High School in 1960, he made a career in surveying at Boles Engineering for 42 years until his retirement.
An avid outdoorsman, Mr. Junior loved hunting and fishing; he also enjoyed watching sports-especially football, baseball, and golf.
He is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and his wife Mary Anne Yarbrough Hill. He is survived by his children Anna (Roy) Thornton, Tom (Kecia) Hill, and John (Amy) Hill; grandchildren Whitney (Michael) Roberts, Jay Berry, Justin Hill (Peyton), Tori Thornton, Jackson Thornton, Caroline Hill, Tucker Hill, and Riley Hill; and great-grandchildren Levi Hill, Noah Roberts, Emily Roberts, Haley Roberts, and Dylan Roberts as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family would like to thank Joe Frazier for all of the help and friendship he gave to Mr. Junior throughout the years.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Little Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Union Christian Church, 1111 County Road 69, Tuskegee, Alabama 36083.
