Robert C. “Fella” Tyson, Sr.

Robert C. “Fella” Tyson, Sr., 74, of Little Texas, died Wednesday, August 30, 2023. Funeral services will be Saturday, Sept 2, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at the Little Texas Tabernacle with Dave Bryant officiating. A private burial will follow in Little Texas Cemetery.

Mr. Tyson is survived by his wife of almost 48 years Janice D. Tyson; his children Robert C. Tyson, Jr. (Shaina), and April Tyson (Ben) Zellner; his grandchildren Robert C. Tyson, III, Bernard High Zellner, IV, Olivia Dawson Zellner, and Shaina’s children C.J. and Anna; his brother James T. Tyson; his sister Cindy Glass; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces, and great nephews; and numerous special friends including Dave and Vikki Bryant, Jerry and Diane Hughes, Monty Sime, Michael Graves, Joe Harris, Steve Finley, Adam Reynolds, Neal McConnell, Gary Fuller, Gary Cockriel, Billy Stringfellow, Joe Miller, Brenda Vann, Barbara and John Persons, and many more. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Thomas and Virginia Wilson Tyson and his brothers Douglas Alvin Tyson and Henry Lewis Tyson. 

Fella ran The Original Tyson Transmission since 1977. He was a hard working man who was dedicated to his business. He loved his customers and almost adopted half of them. He was also a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He and his wife were devoted to each other almost 48 years until death did them part. He was a Christian man who knew when he took his last breath on Earth, his next one would be in Heaven.
