Presley “Butch” Cousins, Jr. Obituary

Presley “Butch” Cousins, Jr., 73, of Eclectic, died Thursday, June 13, 2024, at his home. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 17, 2024, at 2:00 pm. at Fitzpatrick United Methodist Church. Butch is survived by his wife of 41 years Pam Cousins; his children Brad (Tammy) Cope, Jimmy O’Shields, Michelle (Jeff) Waite, and Will (Nicole) Cousins; his grandchildren Frances Kay “Frankie” Cousins, Leigh Ann (Will) Puetz, Caleb Cope, Thomas (Tricia) Waite, Jr., Hollie (Jason) Arnold, and Mitchell Waite; five great grandchildren; and his siblings Irene Holcomb, Mike (Joyce) Cousins, Norine Williams, and Missy (Ken) Czerpak. He was preceded in death by his parents Presley Cousins, Sr. and Peggy Cousins, his brother Burl Cousins, and his sister Jo Yancey. 
Butch served in the US Army for 8 years during the Vietnam War where he achieved the rank of E6 Sergeant. After he returned home, he drove trucks commercially for 30 years before driving a school bus in Elmore County for 12 years. He also served as a UMC Pastor for 17 years. He had three main loves in his life: his Lord, his family, and Alabama football.
