Michael Lee Weldon

Michael Lee Weldon, 76, a long time resident of Notasulga, passed away at Bill Nichols Veterans Home in Alexander City on November 4, 2023. Graveside services will be Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at 11:00 AM in Notasulga Memory Gardens with Rev. Ronald Sumner officiating. Visitation will be Monday, November 6, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Corbitt’s Funeral Home.

He leaves behind his children Klint (Leigh) Weldon, and Kori (Chris) Ledbetter; his grandchildren Breyton Weldon, Abby Ledbetter, Kaitlyn Weldon, and Leyla Daugherty who all called him “Granddaddy;” and his brother Ronnie (Peggy) Weldon. He served in the US Navy on the U.S.S. Chicago in the Vietnam War. He was a welder for over 40 years, and he took pride in his work. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Judy Reynolds Weldon, his parents Andrew and Dorothy Weldon, his mother- and father-in-law Edwin and Nelle Reynolds, and his grandson CJ Ledbetter. 

He loved to hunt and fish with Klint and Chris and loved his family with all his heart. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. And he loved his visits from his daughter Kori when they would talk for hours. 

2 Timothy 4:7 “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”
