Mary Thrower Reeves

Mary Thrower Reeves, born September 30, 1944, passed peacefully on May 6, 2023, at the age of 78, surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by her parents Sam and Edith Marie Thrower, one brother Dick Thrower, husband Danny Wayne Reeves, son Danny Wayne Reeves, Jr., grandson Joshua D. Peek, granddaughter Kristi A. Barnes, and great granddaughter Jaycie-Lynn Peek.

She is survived by her daughter Tracy (Beau) Fleming; granddaughters Heather (Marcus) Edwards and Jessica (Jarrett) Lovejoy; great grandson Gage Coffin; two great granddaughters Aaliyah and Sky Edwards; sisters Mable Cullars, Ellen (Tommy) Godwin, Brenda (Bennie) Davidson, and Donna Sudsberry; brothers Morris Thrower and Robert (Margaret) Thrower; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mrs. Reeves was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family dining out and having backyard cook outs. Mary enjoyed working at TA Wear in Wetumpka where she worked for 17 years until her recent illness. She could be found shopping or fishing on the weekends, but spoiling her great grand babies was her most favorite thing of all.   
 

Graveside services will be Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at Elam Baptist Church Cemetery in Tallassee. Rev. Patrick Taylor will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:30-1:30 P.M. at Corbitt’s Funeral Home in Tuskegee. Pallbearers will be Thomas Milton, William Edwards, Judd Fotchmann, Layne Grant, Drew Armstrong, and Bill Wilson.
