Mary Carolyn Norman, age 84, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2025, at the Bethany House in Auburn, Alabama, surrounded by her loving family, who affectionately called her “Aunt Care.”
Born on December 23, 1940, in Ramer, Alabama, Carolyn was known for her generous spirit. With a heart for giving, she supported many charitable causes and quietly blessed others in meaningful ways throughout her life.
With strength and perseverance, Carolyn triumphed over breast cancer twice and enjoyed a long career at BellSouth/AT&T.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents Peavy Edward Norman and Mattie Odessa Norman, as well as her sisters Aileen (Joe) McDowell and Edna (Johnny) Davis.
She is survived by her sisters Jimmie (Richard) Dicks, Linda (Mallone) Chandler, and Dot (Ronnie) Humphries; and by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A graveside service to honor and celebrate Carolyn’s life will be held on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Ramer Cemetery in Ramer, Alabama, with her brother-in-law Dr. Mallone Chandler officiating.
Carolyn’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
