Marjorie Jean Hood

Marjorie Jean Hood, 90, of Auburn, died Thursday, July 14, 2022, at her home.  Services will be held Monday, July 18, at Armstrong United Methodist Church with visitation beginning at 2:00 P.M. and funeral at 3:00 P.M.  She is survived by her son Michael (Tammy) Hood; daughter-in-law Carolyn Hood; her sister Jackie Adams; brother-in-law James Godfrey; her grandchildren April (Chris) Floyd, Clint Hood, Miranda (Zachary) Pearce, and Matthew Hood; her great grandchildren Andrew Floyd, Avery Floyd, and Ava Hood.  She is preceded in death by her husband Richard Hood, son Gary Hood, mother Robbie Adams, twin brother Josh Adams, and sister Mary Jane Godfrey. Marjorie and Richard were married for 58 years and were a blessing to their children and extended family.
Marjorie accepted Christ at Notasulga First Baptist Church in her youth.  She retired from Auburn University in 1994 and was a huge fan of Aubie.
