Larry Roland Floyd, Sr.

Larry Roland Floyd, Sr., 74, of Creek Stand, AL, born June 10, 1949, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Oct. 3, 2023. He was born the son of the late William Andrew Floyd and Carolyn Law Floyd. He was preceded in death by his brothers William “Jerry” Floyd and Robert “Bobby” Floyd. He is survived by his wife Regina Floyd; his son Larry Roland Floyd, Jr.; his daughter Laura Floyd (J.R.) Talley; step son James (Tracey) Grimes; step daughter Crystal (Lee) Halfacre; his granddaughters Mariah Waites and Hunter Talley; his great granddaughter Minna Waites; and many other step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Larry was a long time employee of Georgia Pacific where he was once recognized as Employee of the Year. 

Special thanks go to all of his caretakers that became part of the family and showed him so much love especially Ivy Creek Hospice and Alisha Tennyson, his hospice nurse. 

Graveside services will be Saturday, Oct. 7, 2023, at Creek Stand Church Cemetery at 1:00 P.M. Jeff McFarland will be officiating.
