Kenneth Charles Fomby Obituary

Kenneth Charles Fomby, 82, of Reeltown, died Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Arbor Springs Nursing Home in Opelika. There will be a brief memorial service in Carrville Cemetery at 4:00 pm on Friday, June 6, 2025, at the site of his mother’s, father’s, and sister’s graves.

Mr. Fomby is survived by his son John Mark (Donna) Fomby, his daughter-in-law Wendy Fomby, nine grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, his brother-in-law Roger Spivey, his niece Alicia (Andy) Davidson, and his great niece Chloe Davidson. He was preceded in death by his parents Lehman and Mary Ellen (Haynie) Fomby, his son Chris Fomby, his sister Debra Spivey, and his granddaughter Ann Creamer.

Mr. Fomby was better known as “Charles from Reeltown” and was the biggest Auburn fan in the state of Alabama.
