Judy Kirby Johnson, 85, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, in Montgomery, Alabama, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.
Judy was born to Onnie and Wylie Kirby on October 15th, 1938 in Notasulga, AL. She attended Notasulga High School and Auburn University and was awarded a degree in Elementary Education.
She was married on September 6, 1959 to Howard Glenn Johnson. She and Howard had two children, Glenn and Wyliene. She was a loving mother, wife, sister, and Mimi to her two granddaughters. She and Howard were loyal members of Church Street United Methodist Church in Cleveland, Tennessee, for many years where they had many friends who were considered family.
Judy is preceded in death by her husband Howard G. Johnson. She is survived by her son Glenn (Natalie) Johnson of Tyler, Alabama; her granddaughters Miranda (Alex) Davis, and Laura Johnson; and her daughter Wyliene Geska of Kingsport, Tennessee.
She is also survived by her two sisters Nagel (Jay) Byrd, Shirley Hayes, and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Thursday, December 21, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. in Notasulga Cemetery.
