Joseph Singleton York, Jr.

Joseph Singleton York, Jr, 64, of Beauregard, died Thursday, July 25, 2024. Funeral services will be Monday, July 29, 2024, at Hatchechubbee Baptist Church at 11:00 am with Rev. Jim Gilboy officiating. Burial will follow in Hurtsboro Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, July 28, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Hatchechubbee Baptist Church. 
 

Mr. York is survived by his wife of 8 years Lynn York; his children Joseph “Joey” Singleton York, III (Kaley), Robert Whitson York, Michelle Vann (Pete), and Shawn Patterson; his grandchildren Carter Vann, Gracelyn York, Mary Katherine York, and Sarah Jo York; his mother Joan York; his sisters Glenda (Chuck) Norris and Rebecca York; and several nieces and nephews and other family members. He was preceded in death by his father Joseph Singleton York, Sr. 
 

Mr. York was a beloved father, husband, brother, and son. He served as a volunteer firefighter and fire chief. He loved to work, was known to be honest businessman, and he loved drag racing and being at the lake. He was a family man.
