Obituary
Howard G. Johnson of Cleveland, TN, passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021, with his loving wife Judy
by his side.
Mr. Johnson graduated in 1959 from Alabama Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Howard spent more than 40 years in the paper industry, retiring in 2002 from Bowater Paper Company as Vice President and General Manager of the Calhoun, TN operations. Howard and his wife Judy were faithful members of Broad Street United Methodist Church in Cleveland where they had many friends who were like family.
Howard is survived by his wife of 62 years Judy Kirby Johnson. He is also survived by his daughter Wyliene Geska, of Kingsport, TN; his son Glenn (Natalie) Johnson of Tyler, AL; and granddaughters Miranda Johnson Davis (Alex) and Laura Johnson who were both the apple of his eye.
A private family service will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021, in Notasulga, AL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the New Prospect UMC Cemetery Fund, c/o Martin Johnson, 915 Wildlife Rd., Dadeville, AL 36853.
