Hayward Eugene Mayfield

Hayward Eugene Mayfield, 89, of Lilburn, GA, died Friday, December 18, 2020, at his home.  Graveside services will be Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at 2:00 P.M. at Reeltown Cemetery.  He was preceded in death by his mother Allie Mayfield, his father Homer Mayfield, his daughter Beverly Ann Mayfield, and ten siblings.  He is survived by his wife Willie Lou Mayfield; his son Michael E. (Rhonda) Mayfield; his sister Allie Kate Cox; his brother Jack Mayfield; his grandchildren Jennifer, Matthew and Amy; and several nieces and nephews.  He graduated from Auburn University before spending two years in the U.S. Navy as a medic.  He then attended the Army War College.  He later retired as Director for the Nashville District of the Food and Drug Administration.  He was loving and devoted to his wife, his family, and his friends. Masks and social distancing will be observed.
