Gloria Jean Fincher Mims, 73, of Loachapoka, died Thursday, January 19, 2023. Graveside services will be Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at Loachapoka Cemetery at 11:00 A.M. with Robert Spratlin officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at Corbitt’s Funeral Home. Mrs. Mims is survived by her daughter Carla (Melvin) McGhee; her son Trey Mims; her grandchildren Tailir Peoples, Brandy Waites, Jennifer Glaser, Summer Sippial, Adam McConnell, and Greyson Beau Mims; her great grandchildren Kamila Rose Elias, Kelli McConnell, Wyatt McConnell, Annabelle McConnell, Dakota McConnell, Eloise McConnell, Jacob Peoples, Kyrie Mendez, Ariel Mendez, Hans Glaser, and Liam Glaser; her brother Leonard Fincher; her sister Alice Chamblee; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter Melba Sippial and her parents John and Faye Fincher. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and a die hard Auburn fan. She loved spending time outside enjoying nature. This led to her love of plants and gardening. She also loved being around horses and going fishing. You could always count on her using some old-timey sayings when you talked with her, and she especially loved her family.
