Frances Wynn Taunton

Frances Wynn Taunton, 89, of Tallassee, died Sunday, October 31, 2021, at Tallassee Health and Rehabilitation.  Graveside services will be Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at Elam Baptist Cemetery at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Don Stephens officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the church.  Mrs. Taunton is survived by her daughters Debra (Randall) Hughey, Lessia (Jimmy) Rothwein, and Julia (Lee) King; her grandchildren Wade (Andrea) Mancil, Randa (Robert) Hammock, Kristin (Brian) Lane, Heather (Jamie) Henderson, Brittany (Reid) Spencer, Matthew Rothwein, Wes (Morgan) Rothwein, Leighanna (Brian) Grice, and Jalee (Cade) Henderson; and many great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Delma Taunton, her brother Hollis Wynn, and her granddaughter Wendy Mancil.  She was a wonderful mother and grandmother.  Her family will always remember her Wednesday night suppers where she often cooked the best fried chicken and caramel cake in the world.
