Clifton Gene Ledbetter, 84, of Daleville, died Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at his home. Graveside services will be Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at Liberty United Methodist Cemetery with Rev. Don Stephens officiating. Mr. Ledbetter is survived by his sister Kate Freeman; his nieces and nephews Penny (Dan) Farren, Teresa (Joe) Vasquez, Chip (Leslie) Freeman, Eddie (Tracy) Ledbetter, and Cindy Ledbetter; and many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Clifton and Ruby Ledbetter and his brother Jack Ledbetter. Gene served in the US Air Force for four years and spent the next 61 years working as a helicopter mechanic at M1 at Fort Rucker. He enjoyed hunting with his brother, loved learning about history, and loved Alabama football. He was a generous man who will be missed by his family and friends.
