Carol Morgan Chavers

Carol Morgan Chavers, 66, of Notasulga, died Friday, December 6, 2024, at UAB Hospital. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Liberty City Methodist Church at 2:00 pm with Rev. Tom Skeen officiating. Burial will follow in Pentecost Methodist Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Junior Morgan, Randy Morgan, Russell Morgan, Frankie Tatum, Jim Surrett, and Adam Surrett. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 pm.
 

Mrs. Chavers is survived by her son Russ (Jessica) Berry; her grandchildren Walden and Chloe Berry, Eli and Michael Smith, and Blakleigh Couch; her mother Betty Morgan; her sister Norma (Jim) Surrett; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend James “Bo” Baker. She was preceded in death by her husband Benny Chavers, her sister Lisa Morgan, and her father Walter Lee Morgan. 
 

Carol loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She also loved going camping, fishing, watching NASCAR, and watching her grandchildren. She was very crafty and enjoyed crocheting and cross-stitching, and enjoyed line dancing with her “tribe” at the Red Hill Schoolhouse.
