Billy Joe Jones Obituary

Billy Joe Jones, “Poppie,” born September 23, 1939, went to be with his Savior on September 28, 2024. He enjoyed woodworking, reading the Bible, fishing and being with his family. Billy proudly served his country in the Air Force from October 3,1956, until November 12, 1968.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents James and Fannie Jones, his sister Jane, his wife Tressie Jones, and son Jeff Ragsdale.

He is survived by his son Darren and his wife Lorrie Ragsdale and daughter Tammy Ragsdale Culligan, grand children and great grandchildren.

We are finding peace knowing he is in heaven, reunited with his wife Tressie, Jeff and dog, Sassy.

There will be a grave side service celebrating his life on October 4, 2024, at 11:00 am at Eagle Creek Cemetery.
