Benton “Buddy” Garner

Benton “Buddy” Garner, 84, of Notasulga, died Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at Bethany House.  He was born on June 26, 1937, to William Jones Garner and Ruby Giles Garner.  He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carolyn Garner; his children James (Melanie) Garner, Stanley (Vickie) Garner, Kim (Kent) Dendy, and Kelli (Michael) Bair; his grandchildren Joshua (Heather) Garner, Brandon Garner, Lauren Garner, Kayla Dendy, Katelyn Dendy, Kade Dendy, and Nick (Courtney) Betts; eight great grandchildren; his brother Baxter "Butch" Garner; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Virginia Garner Schlander. 

Funeral services will be Monday, June 13, 2022, at Notasulga United Methodist Church at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Gene Bridgman officiating.  Burial will follow in Notasulga Memory Gardens.  Visitation will be prior to the service in the church beginning at 10:00 A.M.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Notasulga United Methodist Church.
