Barbara Diana Behr Rodgers

Barbara Diana Behr Rodgers, 88, of Montgomery, joined her heavenly family Monday, August 28, 2023, with her daughter by her side. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday morning, September 1, at the Cubahatchie Baptist Church in Shorter, AL. Graveside service to immediately follow at the Cubahatchie Baptist Cemetery.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband James Dudley Rodgers; her parents Albert and Adele Behr; a brother Robert Behr; a sister Elaine Willoughby; and two daughters Terry Lynn Henry and Bobbie Jane Slayman. She is survived by her daughter Edy (Adrien) Rivard; nine grandchildren Tiffany (French) McMillan, Britney (Chris) Ziemann, Wendy (Donnie) Baker, Eric (Eliza) Slayman, John Entrekin, Luke (Michelle) Slayman, Amanda Henry, Emily Gothard, Savannah (Jon) Mettille; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons.
Barbara was a loving wife and mother and devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. Barbara especially loved her time as a military wife and would often tell stories about living in Spain and Goose Bay, Labrador. Her greatest joy was her family; a house full of little ones playing in the decades old toy box and the older ones shooting pool in the big den brought her so much happiness. Barbara could cook a mean fried pork chop and always had a smile on her face and love in her heart for everyone.
