In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother
Barbara “Bobbie” G. Phillips, 70, was called home by our Lord with her family by her side on December 15, 2019, in Wetumpka, AL.
She was born February 22, 1949, to Dewitt and Myrtle (Reeves) Johnson. She married Frank Lee in 1964, her lifelong friend together, and they raised 4 children: Melissa (David), Willie (Tammy), Roger (Carrie) and Eddie, deceased. She later married Earl Phillips for 25 years until he passed away.
Bobbie, to all who knew her, was a loving and caring person who touched the lives of many people. She enjoyed going to church worshipping the Lord at WellSpring Community Church in Millbrook and Grace Freewill Baptist in Phenix City, AL. She devoted her entire life to raising her children, influencing them in the way they should go, which she continues to do that. She truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures: spending time with her family, friends, going fishing, and going to Gatlinburg, TN. Barbara had the unique ability to instantly become a friend and to reach people with her loving, caring, unconditional heart.
Barbara is survived by her 4 sisters: Diane, Linda Faye, Sybil, Ann; 4 brothers: Raymond, Jimmy, Mackey and Hugh; 20 grandchildren: Brandon, Todd, Jacob, Toni, Athena, Adam, Matthew, Jamie, Kyle, Mitchell, Aimee, Tori, Caitlin, Chyanne, Dalton, Alexis, Brandon, (mother Jodi), Destiny, Kaci, Alyssa, and Madison; and 11 great grandchildren: Amber, Marlee, Asher, Kaleigh, Mia, Addilyn, Emma, Lyric, Kenley, Nevaeh, and Grace.
She was preceded in death by her infant Franky, 2 sisters Louise, Virginia; 3 brothers Willie, Elbert, and Roy; and 1 grandchild Ryan.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2019, at 1:00 P.M. at the Real-Life Church 1834 I-65 Service Rd., East Millbrook, and burial will follow at Kaylor Cemetery in Tallassee. All friends and family are welcome to attend.
