Anna Hall Hyde Obituary

Anna Hall Hyde was born on June 5,1960, in Fairfield, Alabama. She passed away on February 19, 2025, at 64 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Annie (Pearl), and her brothers Lincoln and Stephen.

Anna was a graduate of Fairfield High School and earned an Associate’s Degree in Fashion Merchandising. She worked as the Chief Window Display Artist at Pizit’s Department Store at Western Hill’s Mall. Later she would earn her degree in Education and served as an Adult Educator at Bryce Hospital in Tuscaloosa, Alabama for almost 30 years.

She was a dedicated teacher and truly loved her students. Throughout her career she impacted thousands of patients’ lives by helping them earn their GED and gain skills that would help them thrive in their lives outside the hospital.

Anna was a talented oil painter and artist and also created beautiful hand crafts for her family and friends.

She is survived by her children Lacey and William (Addison) Chaney. She was about to celebrate 20 years of marriage with her loving husband Newton. She also survived by her mother-in-law Jeanette Hyde; as well as her step-children Joey (Bobbie) and Kevin (Melanie); step-grandchildren Austin (Felicity), Hunter, and Alex Hyde; her bother Joseph Daniel Hall (Angie); and nephew Nathaniel (Sara).

Anna’s family is especially thankful for the support of Community Hospice Care of Tallassee, especially Amy, Rena, and Chiquita.

Anna was a devoted wife and mother, finding her greatest joy in her children. She called herself a hippie and a free-spirit and shared her warmth and kindness with all who crossed her path. Proud of who she was, she openly expressed her beliefs and lived authentically. Anna found peace knowing she would one day be reunited with her loved ones.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
