Alva Jean Vaughan

Alva Jean Vaughan, 78, of Little Texas, died Monday, August 28, 2023, at Baptist Medical Center South. Funeral services will be Thursday, Aug. 31, 2023, at Little Texas Community Church and Tabernacle at 11:00 A.M. with Robert Spratlin officiating. Burial will follow in Little Texas Cemetery. Visitation will be in the church prior to the service beginning at 10:30 A.M. Ms. Vaughan is survived by her sisters Nellie Vaughan, Emily Vaughan, and Lorinda (Hoss) Richardson all of Tuskegee; her nieces Jennifer Weldon, Heather Hartley, and Holly Richardson; two great nephews; and one great niece. Ms. Vaughan was like a mother to many children and helped to raise several of them. She always took care of her family and was loved by everybody who knew her. She had a sweet spirit who rarely got angry. And she enjoyed listening to music and reading books.
