Alfred Eugene “Denny Boy” Wallace

Alfred Eugene “Denny Boy” Wallace, Jr., was born August 14, 1955, in Marion, AL. He passed away on August 15, 2023, at his home. Alfred was an avid Alabama fan and loved his trucks. He followed his father’s footsteps in working with heavy equipment. He worked with W.S. Newell and Lee County as a heavy equipment operator when he was a young man. Later he was employed by Newell Road Builders for many years. He is survived by his daughter Laura; his granddaughter Keiley; his siblings Betty (Lindy) Messer, Ada (David) Ingram, Billy Wallace; Alton (Peggy) Wallace, and David (Joan) Wallace; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Gene and Eunice Wallace, his brother Grady Wallace, and his aunt Nell Holden. He was a member of Society Hill Baptist Church where he was baptized in 2008 after believing in the Lord as his Savior. He loved people, his church, and his family. 
A potluck lunch will be held on September 16, 2023, at 12:00 P.M. at Society Hill Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held immediately following lunch with Rev. Mark Carlock and Rev. Rusty Sowell officiating. Memorials may be made to Society Hill Baptist Church or Society Hill Cemetery Fund.
