Ricky Layne Cooper

Ricky Layne Cooper, 61, of Birmingham, died Saturday, January 20, 2018, at Bethany House.  Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. at Pleasant Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Ronald Sumner officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be at the church prior to the service beginning at 10:00 A.M.  Mr. Cooper is survived by his daughter Melissa Walters; his grandchildren Katie, Nikki, and Payton; his mother Doris Cooper; his brother Ronnie (Diane) Cooper; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many friends.  Ricky was always a follower of the Christian faith, yet in his last days he developed a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.
