Leonard Crosby Huddleston, Sr.

Leonard Crosby Huddleston, Sr., 82, died Saturday, March 31, 2018, at East Alabama Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 am Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at Auburn Memorial Park Cemetery, East Samford Avenue with Cliff Knight officiating.  The family will receive friends at 10:00 am in the foyer of Lakeview Baptist Church, 1600 East Glenn Avenue, Auburn.

Mr. Huddleston was born February 7, 1936, in Macon County, AL, son of Charles Huddleston, Sr. and Irene Huddleston.  He attended Auburn University and served in the United States Navy.

He married Frances (Fran) Tomlin on October 24, 1959.  He served as a volunteer fireman for the City of Auburn from 1964 to 1987 achieving the rank of Captain.  He was an employee of AlaGasCo and retired with over 30 years of service.

Other than his parents he was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.

Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years Fran Huddleston of Auburn; children “Huck” Huddleston, Jr (Kathy) of Suwanee, GA, Leah Reid (Brad) of Athens, AL, Shelley Baker (PeeWee); two sisters Peggy Sadler of Shorter, AL, Rennie Huddleston of Montgomery, AL;  grandchildren Lucy Huddleston, Laura Huddleston, Amy Huddleston, Brian Reid (Anna), Riley Whitson (Luke), Aaron Reid (Kailyn), Julie Reid, David Baker, Matthew Baker, Harley Baker (Rachel); and great grandchildren Sanford Reid, Addison Reid, Olivia Reid, Bentlee Baker.
