James Wade Whatley Obituary

James Wade Whatley, 65, of Pell City, died Wednesday, September 12, 2018. Graveside services will be Monday, September 17, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. at Tuskegee Cemetery with Rev. David Waldrop officiating. Visitation will start at 10:00 A.M. at Corbitt's Funeral Home prior to the service. Mr. Whatley is survived by his son David Whatley, his grandchildren Jackson and Elizabeth Whatley, his brother Michael (Wanda) Whatley, and his nephew Dustin Whatley. He was preceded in death by his parents James David and Inez Whatley. Mr. Whatley graduated from Macon Academy where he excelled in athletics, and he graduated from Auburn University where he also played football. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tuskegee Cemetery Association c/o Corbitt's Funeral Home or to one's favorite charity.
