Benny Chavers Obituary

Benny Henry Chavers, 74, of Notasulga, died Saturday, November 16, 2019, at his home. Funeral services will be Monday, November 18, 2019, at Pentecost United Methodist Church at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Presley “Butch” Cousins and Rev. Ryan Fulford officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service at the church beginning at 1:00 P.M. Mr. Chavers is survived by his wife of 16 years Carol Chavers; his sons Rodney (Angie) Chavers and Russ (Amanda) Berry; his grandchildren Caleb (Rhiannon) Mims, Jordan Chavers, Walden Berry and Chloe Berry; his sister Annie Bob Musick; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Ora Lee Chavers, his son Benny Scott Chavers, and his sisters Jimmie Ruth Stroud and Betty Jean Hurst. Benny loved his family, and enjoyed spending time outdoors with horses and camping. He also enjoyed woodworking. He lived life to the fullest and had a great sense of humor with a quick wit.
