Bobby J Cartee

Bobby Cartee, 66, of Wetumpka, AL, went home to rest with his Lord and Savior on January 29, 2018.  Bobby was born February 16, 1951, in Igloo, South Dakota, raised in Montgomery, and finally settled in Wetumpka.  As a skilled carpenter, he made his living in the construction business - well-known and respected by his peers.  Bobby had a love for the Lord, fishing, traveling, camping, and anything involving his family.  He was a loving and caring family man, a natural provider and protector, an admired son, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend.  

Bobby was preceded in death by his father Roy D. Cartee and his sister JoAnn Cartee McLeod.  He is survived by his mother Grace Newberry; his cherished wife of 42 years Debra Cartee; his children Tracy (Jason) Baldwin, Kimberly (Jeff) Bracknell, Christina (Nicholas) Eakin, Robert (Ashley) Cartee, Eric (Rabecca) Brannan, and Tabitha Fluellen; his grandchildren whom he adored Nikolas Watson, Maddison Baldwin, Logan Bracknell, Zakary Campbell, McKinley Baldwin, Hayden Cartee, Jaxon Cartee, Cordell Smith, Noah Bracknell, Raylen Smith, Hudson Cartee, and Kambree Cartee; his brothers Dennis and Leslie Cartee; his sister Belinda Bryant; his aunt Ruby Peterson; his nieces Rendy, Donyille, Stacy, Tina, and Brandy; his nephew Richard; and many special friends.  Bobby was both Loving and Loved.  

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 3, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. at Thelma Baptist Church in Wetumpka with Rev. John E. Bush officiating.  Burial will follow in Pine View Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be prior to the service at the church beginning at 10:00 A.M. Pallbearers will be Robert Cartee, Jason Baldwin, Jeff Bracknell, Nicholas Eakin, Eric Brannan, Chris Honaker, Nikolas Watson, and Dana Newberry.
